| Look the mirrored story here: http://class101.org/corsair_cheat.htm I mirror because I think and Im sure the Corsair guys will delete it for a bad advertise for them , but I call this cheating and the people buying RAM should know that Corsair build its recent DDR2 to fail if it detects DDR2 rams from other brands as Kingston, Samsung. This shit made my computer overheating this last days, freezing, reboots, all what about Im scared to have on my baby alienware lol SO to result I have to choose for 1GB corsair only and it works fine (and it force to buy only Corsair) , nor to use 1GB of kingston + 512Mb of samung and to buy another 1Gb kingston later. Personally I will choose Kingston, all that to say do never buy Corsair DDR2... |

Also, jumping from having incompatibility issues to stating Corsair is designing their DDR2 memory to purposely fail if it's detecting other brands is a hell of an assumption. IIRC, as of late I haven't heard of ANY mainstream memory manufacturer recommending or stating that it's ok to mix modules, or that they guarantee it (with the exception of those who make modules whose primary purpose are to be compatible with OEM systems). |

| my thread shows you clearly the results of using a corsair module with another brand = reboot, freezing, overeating, enough to ban corsair doing this shit Im sure only against Kingston, they are enough dumbass on the forum to ban the word *kingston*, they did it also with their sticks , samsung and kingston are good brands fully compatible, passing memtest86 nicely as it should and wich I recommand. |

| nice try to defend your brand ramguy but in my case you should understand that I have acquired a PC2-4200 533Mhz DDR2 1GB wich was about to broke my comp.. Havent seen any warning saying corsair brand should be used only with other corsair brands... People should know about this cheat because you do not mention this in your ram references.. |
