Yes it's to stop flooders for cash(you will still be able to post but no more win $$ until 24h), and the only way to lose your money is to donate a part to your friend or to break a rules so no don't worry for the virtual money, it's not a big deal , just a nice option to autoreward active members versus showers.

I think it is a very good idea indeed.
